Nutella Babka (Braided Bread)

Braided Bread is possible with Lorraine's Gluten-Free Sweet Dough Mix!  You can use cinnamon sugar and butter, or any spread or fruit jam you like.  Possibilities are endless!

Simply prepare the Sweet Dough Mix as directed HERE and use half of the prepared dough to make this beautiful bread stuffed with Nutella.


1/2 prepared Sweet Dough Mix

1/2 cup Nutella Spread

1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Oven Temperature:

Preheat oven to 350ºF

Bake Time:

25 to 35 minutes until golden brown and wooden stick inserted in the center comes out clean

Spray a 9x5 loaf pan with gluten-free oil and line bottom with parchment paper.
Take 1/2 of prepared dough  (Lorraine’s Gluten-Free Sweet Dough Mix) and roll onto 8x10.
Spread 1/2 a cup of Nutella and sprinkle about 1/4 cup of chocolate chips if desired.
Roll the dough starting from the long side into a jelly roll.
Cut the dough lengthwise so that the Nutella filling is facing up.
Braid the dough and place in an oil sprayed 9x5 loaf pan.
Bake and tent with aluminum foil midway to prevent from too much browning.
Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
