HOW TO MAKE PIZZA DOUGH

With our gluten-free PIZZA MIX, you can make soft and chewy pizza base the whole family can enjoy.  Making your own gluten-free pizza has never been easier! With a help of an electric stand mixer, your dough will come together in no time.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED WITH THE MIX

MAKES:

Pizzas (2) 16″

Pizzas (3) 10″

Focaccia (1) 13×18″

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR THE DOUGH: 

1 1/2 cups water, warm

2 tbs granulated sugar

1/4 cup vegetable oil

2 large eggs, room temperature*

2 tsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar

 

EGG FREE SUBSTITUTE:

2 tbs flaxseed mill

6 tbs water

combine and let sit for 1-2 minutes

add to dough mixture per instructions

Oven Temperature:

Pre-heat oven to 375ºF, increase to 475ºF to finish baking

Bake Time:

SEE Step 6 below

  1. In microwave safe bowl, pour the water and bring to a warm temperature about 1 min – should be warm to the touch but not hot (between 105-115ºF).  Stir in sugar and stir until dissolved. Add Yeast packets and stir to mix.  Set aside and let proof for 5-8 min until bubbles appear.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the Wet Mix and set aside.
  3. In a bowl of a stand mixer add the bag of flour mix and whisk. Add Wet Mix and proofed Yeast Mix and mix in low for a few seconds until wet mixtures are absorbed into the dry mixture.  Increase speed to medium-high and beat for 3 minutes.  The dough will be wet, smooth and sticky.  Divide into 2 equal portions.
  4. Add 1 tbs of oil to the baking pans – 2 pizza pans or (2) 9x13 inch cookie baking pan. Sprinkle about 2 teaspoons of cornmeal.
  5. Take half of the prepared dough into each pan and place an oiled plastic wrap on top. Press the dough evenly onto the baking sheet pan making sure there are more dough on the edges of the pan.  Remove plastic wrap and replace wrap on top and put it in a warm area to let it double in size, about 1 hour.
  6. Once risen, remove plastic wrap and pre-bake the dough for 10-12 min at 375ºF. Remove from the oven and add desired toppings. Increase temperature to 475ºF and bake for additional 8 -15 minutes until edges are golden brown and toppings are cooked.
